Job Description: We are looking for a friendly, professional, motivated, and capable Medical Receptionist to join our well-established family practice in Bargo. A fantastic role for a candidate looking for 1 – 2 days per week. Monday-Friday no weekends. Immediate start. Working alongside the existing team of receptionists, you will be joining a supportive, dynamic professional team. Key responsibilities: · Reception duties to include phone calls and emails (from both patients and healthcare professionals), managing and confirming appointments, preparing clinics, greeting face to face patients and setting up calls for TeleHealth patients · Preparing patient files, processing patient billing, claiming with Medicare and health funds, organising patient accounts, and following up payments · Booking appointments and assisting patients with specialist and allied health appointments · Simple secretarial tasks to include voice recognition typing, posting, faxing, scanning and collection and distribution of mail What this role offers you: · The opportunity to work within a supportive and well-rewarded team · Job security within an established Practice of over 35 years · Exciting future opportunities within the Practice as it expands Essential experience and skills: · Previous medical or health-related experience in a similar role is advantageous, applicants with clerical and reception experience outside of the health industry will also be considered. · Computer literacy · Exceptional and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prioritise patients and healthcare professionals as appropriate · Fast learner with the ability to take on new skills with ease · Excellent time management and organisational skills Valued experience and skills: · Experience using Best Practice or Medical Director · Ability to do simple IT troubleshooting · Touch typing Above award hourly rates in-line with the successful applicant's experience.
